It is hard to believe we have completed four weeks of school already! It has been another productive and busy week in fifth grade. In Language Arts, we have focused on identifying and creating sentences. We also completed our fourth Wordly Wise of the year. Each reading class has continued to explore their respective novels and have practiced using the seven reading strategies as they work through each chapter. In social studies, we have continued to review Native American settlements by region. This week, we focused specifically on Native Americans of the West and of the Great Plains. In science, we've been working on identifying variables and writing hypotheses. Our week concluded with a very exciting Friday. Fifth graders met their buddies for the first time and each pair created picture frames together. We look forward to many other opportunities to spend time with our buddies this year!
