Mid-quarter Progress

All fifth grade students will be bringing home their mid-quarter grades on Monday, September 19.  They will share these with you, ask for a parent signature, and return them to school on Tuesday.  In addition to the percent and letter grade for each subject, students mid-quarter will also display their skill ratings for classroom behavior, use of life skills, and preparation for class.  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.  Below is the list of criteria we use for life skill ratings. 

Classroom Behavior

• Uses class time well
• Stays on Task
• Reads & follows directions carefully
• Listens to instructin
• Participates appropriately in class discussions

Use of Life Skills

• Models honesty & integrity
• Shows initiative & responsibility
• Demonstrates flexibility & resilience
• Shows respect & concern for others & their property
• Works well with others

Preparation for Class

• Brings materials to class
• Prepares for quizzes & tests
• Completes assignments
• Hands assignments in on time

1 = Student consistently meets expectations
2 = Student could show improvement in this area
