*We will send out a sign-up genius for Exchange City Interviews this week. If you are able to come help us, please sign up! If you can only join us for a portion of the interviews, we would still love to have the help. Please just let us know if you cannot be there the entire time so we can adjust the number of students you will interview accordingly.
Academics
In language arts, we completed the second round of our WordMasters Challenge. We also continued our grammar unit over verbs and will test over this unit before Spring Break. We also resumed Wordly Wise #15 this week. Students should complete the online practice by Thursday, March 6th and will take a test over the spelling words on Friday, March 7th.
In reading, Miss Laird's class finished Small Steps and took a test over the book. Next week they will begin reading Holes by Louis Sachar. Mrs. Nash's class finished their point of view projects over Jayhawker and ranked book selections for our next literature unit. We will begin this literature circles unit next week.
In social studies, we completed our foldable timeline for the American Revolution. We have a test over this unit on Tuesday, March 4th. Students should be studying their foldable and their Unit 4 Terms to Know.
In science, we finished talking about plant and animal cell parts. Next week we will actually create our plant and/or animal cells.
