Academics
In language arts, we complete our review for our upcoming nouns test.  The nouns test dates are noted above. Students have received a study guide to prepare for this test. They can also use pages 150-152 and 156-165 of their language arts textbook as well as the LiveBinder link on the right side of this blog to study. The access code for the LiveBinder is grammar.
We are also continued our word masters preparations. Students should be studying these words on a daily basis. The WordMasters Challenge will take place on Tuesday, December 3rd.

In reading, Mrs. Nash's
started a non-fiction book called Small Steps: The Year I Got Polio by Peg Kehret. We have read through Chapter 3 of the book. Ms. Laird's class finished our split novel of The Cay and Hatchet. Next week we will start a literature circle unit. The students did a book preview on Thursday and will find out their groups and books on Monday.

This week in social studies,  we reviewed for our Exploration and Colonization Test throughout the week and took the test on Friday. Next week we will begin our next unit on the 13 Original Colonies and will complete a project during this unit.

This week in science, we FINISHED science expo. The projects all look great and everyone was so proud to tell everyone else about their project! They will take their projects home on Monday after school. The end of the week we wrapped up stars with constellations. Next week, we will finally move into the relationship and rotations of the earth, sun and stars.
